Karen Madison: Sweet sounds...
Great to see/hear you last night at SoCha and I'm looking forward to next week's show at Simple Pleasures. As mentioned below, yours is "... original music [which] listeners are eager to hear...." Beautiful sounds throughout. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

Richard Meyerson: I love it!
The CD is just stunning. I love every minute of it (and this is coming from someone who knows next to nothing about Jazz). Been playing it over and over in my car.And.... I am so impressed with the quality of the whole production. Its really amazing!Congratulations and thank you SO much for sharing it with me!!Best,Richard

Karen, I'm enjoying these great performances, and their open, rhythmic approach.
These remarks are spot-on:
"...No one really wants to play or listen to standards unless you are Stan Getz or Dexter Gordon or some “Major Cat,” because just about anything you could possibly bring to them has already been done before, or at least people have heard so many version of all of those songs so there are so many preconceived notions of how those songs are supposed to sound and be played. Musicians are hungry to play original music and listeners are eager to hear it..."
Wishing you all continued success !

I remember getting a call from you several years ago when i was living on Cape Cod I think... and i'm sorry never returned the call... have been making a lot of transitions.... to be continued. I still have yet to see the flower at the end of the beanstalk, but I am happy that you have.
